Chalon furniture is a blend of inspired design, solid timber, quality construction and a unique finishing style. The result is a range of furniture which creates an impression wherever it is seen.

The designs are predominantly 18th and 19th Century in period and English in style but flavoured with particular influences from France, Scandinavia and Ireland. These diverse influences have to lead to a distinctive and recognisable house design that has been growing in reputation since the company’s foundation twenty five years ago.

Chalon kitchen furniture incorporates classic furniture designs including the regional diversity of English country furniture of the 18th and 19th centuries, antique paint colours and finishes and a high level of craftsmanship in manufacture. Experience and understanding enable the emulation and recreation of effects that reflect the period and character of individual furniture pieces.

The company specialises in the recreation of English country furniture and has a deep understanding of colour, texture and aging techniques. This is reflected by the skills of its craftsmen whose mastery of complex techniques lends itself to this work. The company has showrooms located in London, Harrogate, Edinburgh, St Albans and Tunbridge Wells with a head office in Hambridge, Sonmerset. All cabinet making is carried out to order in workshops in Hambridge in the South West of England. Each item of furniture is finished to the individual customer’s requirements each piece is taken through several stages to achieve the desired finish. The hard work put in to the construction and finishing of all our products means that there remains a desirable individuality that gives the Chalon character to our unique range of furniture.
