BIID Industry Partner members Neville Johnson are hosting a free tech integration event at their brand new London showroom, in conjunction with Kensington Home Technology. Ricardo Penswick from AV specialists, says: "At KHT, we aim to give clients entertainment in every room without affecting the beautiful interior design that we all expect from the modern home. At the same time interior designers working with us are often confused by cabling such as CAT5 or CAT6 and new technologies such as Apple TVs or Sonos Music. To be able to
hide all the cables, DVD players and Sky boxes so that all you are left to look at is a screen often means designing bespoke furniture to work around the television and our equipment. Likewise for music, custom bookcases can hold speakers, or simply hide the equipment for music with sound coming out of plastered-in speakers which are totally invisible and a favourite of interior designers. With this in mind, KHT and Neville Johnson are combining the three aspects of bringing a beautiful but technology filled room together - the interior designer, the bespoke furniture maker and the technology company - in an instructive CPD"
