Homes & Gardens Awards 2011

Published on:17/03/2011

All change for the Homes & Gardens Awards with a new name – Designer Awards, a new format and a new venue – The British Museum.  No longer solely focused on product design these awards now include categories for Kitchen, Bathroom, Interior and Eco Design although there was a strong eco-theme running throughout.

Rising stars Joe Burns and Jamee Kong carried off the Bathroom and Kitchen Design awards respectively and Kit Kemp was the winner of the Interior Design category.  The audience rose to their feet for Kenneth Grange the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award famous for the design of a string of familiar products and brand names ranging from clothes irons, washing machines, the Kenwood Chef, the Inter City 125 train and the innovative 1997 TX1 taxi!
