Meet Craftsmen in the LOIRE VALLEY (7th – 10th September 2011)

The organiser of a ‘sourcing' event has contacted us with a last-minute invitation for BIID members to meet 18 Craftsmen and discover the Centre region of France.
At the heart of the Loire Valley, listed in UNESCO's World Heritage list, France's Centre region hosts nearly 35 000 artisans. The region has a rich historical past, including its famous Châteaux and is internationally renowned for its vineyards and gastronomic traditions.
PROGRAMME
Wednesday 7th September:
Afternoon/evening: arrival in Paris. Transportation to Tours centre.
Thursday 8th September:
Visits to workshops near Tours and Orléans
Friday 9th September:
Exhibition by the 18 Craftsmen in the Château Beauregard,
one-to-one meetings
Saturday 10th September:
Visit to the Château Chaumont and its Garden Festival (optional)
Transportation to Paris
Visit to the Maison & Objet show in Villepinte (optional)
All transportation within France, 3 nights lodging and meals will be paid for by the region.
