Published on:01/09/2006

In response to BIDA member’s request for talks on professional practice issues, the BIDA has structured a one day seminar to address these enquiries. We have invited associated professionals from the design and construction industry to share their views on the complex contractual process. The speakers will be giving the viewpoint of the designer, lawyer, contractor, insurer and manufacturer. Issues such as client brief, CDM, planning issues, liability and contracts will be covered and there will be time for questions to encourage an ongoing dialogue. We intend for this to become an annual CPD event.

The Speakers include:

The Designer viewpoint: Richard Spark, Fox Linton Associates

The Lawyer’s viewpoint: Colin Jones, Hewitsons

The Manufacturer’s viewpoint: Sikkens

The Contractor’s viewpoint: Dominic Benoist, SYMM

The Insurer’s viewpoint: Peter Sharp, AON

The Seminar day is taking place at the RIBA, 66 Portland Place, London W1B 1AD, it will start at 9:30 am and finish at 5:00pm. Tickets for the event are £105.75 for BIDA members and £117.50 for Non members. Tickets can be purchased through enquiries@bida.org.
