Following the fantastic response to the British Interior Design Association (BIDA) awards presented at Decorex International in 2004 the BIDA has once again this year presented at Decorex an ‘Award for Best Stand Design’ and fifteen swing tags for ‘Products of Outstanding Quality and Design Innovation’.

The judges this year were: Annie Stevens, BIDA Chairman, Dean Keyworth of Armstrong Keyworth Ltd and George Bond of Omega Designer Workshop Limited. Anyone visitng Decorex this year would agree that the task of judging could not have been an easy one. Annie Stevens, remarked "What a show! The best Decorex for many years – a decorator’s dream with an excellent standard of products for the profession."

The 2005 ‘Award for Best Stand Design’ was presented to Bill Cleyndert & Company Limited. Bill Cleyndert & Company are specialist joinery and furniture manufacturers, providing the architectural and interior design professions with a comprehensive, reliable and professional manufacturing and finishing facility. The challenge for the design of their stand at Decorex was to demonstrate the attention to detail and quality of their highly skilled teams of craftsmen. This was exquisitly represented in a large work bench specially created for the show. In 2004 Bill Cleyndert & Company received a swing tag for Product of Outstanding Quality and Design Innovation for their Herbst Writing Desk.

On receiving the award Bill Cleyndert said: "On behalf of the whole team at Bill Cleyndert & Company, I am honoured and hugely proud to receive the BIDA Award for Best Stand Design at Decorex 2005. We view this prestigious and valued award as endorsement of our commitment to the quality and service we provide to the Interior Design industry."
