BIDA LAUNCHES NEW SILVER SWING TAG AWARD AT DECOREX INTERNATIONAL 2006

Published on:04/09/2006

Every year the British Interior Design Association (BIDA) is invited to present an ‘Award for Best Stand Design’ and fifteen swing tags for ‘Products of Outstanding Quality and Design Innovation’ at Decorex International. In 2005 Ian Thompson of Decorex International remarked ‘recipients of the BIDA awards are always proud to receive such a high standing accolade. It is never an easy job for the judges but their choices do represent the crème de la crème of the industry and cause great excitement among the exhibitors’.

In recognition of the quality of the exhibitors at Decorex International, this year the BIDA will be presenting the recipient of the ‘Award for Best Stand Deisgn’ with a sterling Silver Swing Tag designed and produced by Hamilton & Inches, a company VOGUE refered to as being ‘the luxury goods star of Scotland’. Hamilton & Inches is renowned for the service and craftsmanship that have been at the heart of the business since it was founded in Edinburgh in 1866. Hamilton & Inches holds a Royal Warrant, as Silversmiths to HM The Queen and has an international reputation for hand crafted silverware that is made in the company’s workshop. The workshop also thrives on special commissions, a recent one was the first ever Triple Crown trophy for the victor of the home nations contest within the Six Nations international rugby competition.

In addition to the ‘Award for Best Stand Design’, fifteen swing tags will also be awarded for ‘Products of Outstanding Quality and Design Innovation’.
