Part 1: Chicago Design Mission 10th – 15th June 2010
Published on:08/07/2010
Last month a delegation of BIID members traveled to Chicago on the long awaited Design Mission to develop and nurture relationships with the US design community.
In particular we met on several occasions members of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and Chicago Architecture Foundation (CAF). The delegation included Doug Atherley, James Charles, Simon Hamilton, Guy Oliver, Karin Verzariu and Julia Wong. With the generous support and sponsorship of Sub Zero and Design At Home.Com, the delegation were able to participate in a series of high profile events timed to coincide with the NeoCon Worlds Trade Fair at the infamous Merchandising Mart Building.
In the coming weeks I will be posting more details about this trip and the benefits of such international visits.
