Located in Courchevel 1850, Chalet ‘Le Blanchot’ is a new-build chalet having 6 bedrooms, living and dining areas, together with a basement spa with swimming pool. Wilkinson Beven Design were involved from the early stages of the project, our client having purchased a site with an existing chalet, which was then demolished. Taking the initial architectural proposals, we provided new plans, optimising floor layouts and providing the best use of the various internal spaces. We went on to design lighting and electrical layouts to suit our suggested proposals. Our full design service included the design of all wall elevations and room spaces, including concepts for bespoke work, full materials specifications and producing detailed working drawings for the local contractors. Working in the French Alps has allowed us to form close links with various local teams and craftsmen, giving us the capability to advise our clients on the both the development teams and main contractors helping them to achieve the high quality finishes, demanded by this market. We completed the project by selecting and supplying all the furniture, fabrics, accessories and soft furnishings for the chalet, also taking responsibility for organising shipping and the final placement of all these items – delivering the completed project, on time, to our client for immediate use.
