Nelson Design was founded by Claire Nelson in 1992 after graduating from Istituto Par L’Arte E Il Ristaro. Since then, her contemporary and gracious style has won her a number of prestigious interior design commissions, both commercial and residential, and numerous industry recognitions.

Nelson Design has grown into a vibrant and enthusiastic team of designers offering a comfortable, yet bespoke and integrated approach to design. The company philosophy is to avoid the prefabricated "looks" if interior design and to inspire clients to make their choices in furnishing and finishing their home to reflect their own unique personality and style.

Functionality is key in every project, residential or otherwise, and Nelson Design often maximise functionality by developing bespoke furniture and installations for projects. We practice an architectural approach to interiors to ensure visual interest and employ luxurious materials and finishes to deliver stunning results. Careful attention to detail and the use of top quality craftsmen, artisans, and builders are all hallmarks of a Nelson Design project and enable us to consistently surpass clients’ expectations.

Nelson Design is a full service design practice which works across a broad spectrum of budgets and scopes, and delivers a wide variety of projects. These can range from soft furnishings packages to new build projects as well as large, extensive refurbishments and delivery of turn-key solutions. We can work from obtaining planning permission through to project management. A testimony to the practical and personable way that Nelson Design functions, many of the projects are repeat clients or private referrals.
