Matthew Godley / Matthew Godley Interior Design
Matthew studied at the Inchbald School of Design and then went on to assist the interior designer Christophe Gollut. Matthew Godley Interior Design has been established for over 20 years. His Interior Design brings a unique style and individuality to every commission.
In general Matthew Godley’s work primarily focuses on residential design, although numerous residential projects in London have led Matthew to work on other challenging projects such as the Cobden Club near Notting Hill, the Claremont Hotel on the Isle of Man, several large country houses and show flats in St. Katherine's Dock. These have included both listed and modern buildings.
Matthew’s work is versatile and innovative; it can range from contemporary design to traditional schemes. Matthew believes however that the overall effect should reflect the client’s personality and lifestyle. Matthew encourages clients to work closely with him using his experience and knowledge to explore their own taste.
His designs often involve working with bold colours; he finds inspiration from classic English and French 19th century style. Matthew regularly uses specialist paint finishes, wallpapers and materials to create an individual look for his clients.
Matthew Godley undertakes complete projects, working alongside Architects and Project Managers. He has built up strong relationships with his clientele, so much so he has had many repeat commissions.
