Ian Ashworth / i-lid design

Before setting up i-lid design with outstanding interior designer Lorraine Mitchell, Ian spent over 15 years specialising in the design and project management in the Restaurant and Leisure Industry. With a past Client base including La Tasca / Bay Restaurant Group, The Restaurant Group, YoSushi, Pizza Express, Luminar Leisure & My Kinda Town, as well as individual restaurateurs.

As i-lid design we now are also able to offer full interior and architectural design and management service within the residential as well as the commercial sector, taking projects from concept to hand over. 

This talented partnership is currently working on a number of exciting projects in both the commercial and residential sectors.

One of the projects they are just completing is the full interior design and project management roles for a multimillion pound new build family home.  They have created five very individual bedrooms with en-suites, open plan bespoke family kitchen and dining area leading onto family lounge. In addition there are also a formal dining room and lounge, study, cinema room and swimming pool.  The brief included all the furniture, soft furnishing and lighting.

They have also recently completed a project to transform a derelict dance hall/cinema into a high end wedding venue and conferencing centre.  This included 3 modern, relaxing bar areas, modern function room and the minimal main venue.  The lighting throughout the function space is by state of the art led colour change wash lighting.  This gives the flexibility for any bride to create the wedding setting of their dreams. The brief was the full interior and architectural design along with the project management.

They are also currently working on three further residential commissions undertaking the full interior and architectural design as well as the project management.

With our leisure industry background, they are also employed by various individual clients as well as corporate operations working to develop their brief, both aesthetically and operationally. They successfully utilise the spatial and operational requirements for sites to suit both operator and customer needs.

They have extensive knowledge in dealing with Planners, Listed Building Officers and Building Control.

Through this talented design partnership, they are able to create a unique, outstanding design style, combined with client specific functionality, delivering the brief on time and in budget.
