Profile

Neil Trett / Hazle McCormack Young

Neil Trett graduated in Interior Architecture at KIAD in 2004 and has practiced as an Interior Designer at the Canterbury office of Hazle McCormack Young LLP since September of that year.

Hazle McCormack Young LLP is a chartered architectural practice. Over four decades HMY has strived to consistently deliver highly creative, sustainable and economically sound solutions to a range of commissions receiving national and regional awards as a result.

Operating out of two Kent studios in Tunbridge Wells and Canterbury, and also London. The team of 25 also includes 14 qualified architects with 5 partners. Our services encompass Architecture, Interior Design, Furniture and Product Design.

So if your project is a new build or refurbishment, urban or rural, an individual dwelling or a commercial building, HMY are able to create exciting places to live and work.  With a commitment to consultation and extensive experience of working with owners, tenants, landlords we create vibrant places to inhabit. Project briefs are developed through close consultation with the client and end users, we then produce concept mood and sample boards, graphics where required, working drawings and written specifications, we also offer project management and contract administration.

Consultation and dialogue has become fundamental to the ethos of our practice. We firmly believe that the best buildings and interiors are achieved from detailed briefs generated by committed clients. It is for this reason, that we expect that the client, and eventually the contractor, should be full participating members of the design team.

Our practice philosophy is encapsulated in our Mission Statement:

To practice architecture creatively, sustainably and economically and to conduct the business of architecture professionally, ethically and profitably.
