Caroline Fooks / Caroline Fooks Design

Caroline Fooks launched her design practice in 2004 following a successful career working with distinguished specialists in the design world, including Nina Campbell, for whom she worked for eight years as a senior decorator.

Over time, Caroline has established a wealth of reliable contacts with craftspeople and tradesmen, both in London and the country, with whom she can collaborate to create definitive bespoke pieces. She also likes to work with local craftspeople, where possible and draws upon a workforce from her native Suffolk where she has fulfilled many commissions.

Caroline enjoys client relationships of some longevity, in which she assists with cyclical re-design and re-decoration. She enjoys taking on projects of any size; be it one room, a whole house, or acting as a design consultant.

Caroline has a down-to-earth, flexible approach to decorating. She is as happy to re-use and re-arrange favourite furnishings as she is to completely re-fit a property from soft furnishings to tea spoons. Helping busy people see the transformation of an area into an elegant and comfortable space is as satisfying to her as it is to her clients.

Caroline’s current portfolio ranges from rural retreats and country homes to Central London houses and flats. Commercial work is also undertaken both traditional and contemporary, as well as work for clients with property portfolios.

Further afield, Caroline completed a family home in rural France after having helped the client with her first London flat 14 years ago and the refurbishment in Barbados of a historic ‘Great’ house.

While Caroline’s personal style could be described as traditional with a contemporary twist, she works always with her clients’ own wishes.
