Diana Henshall / Di Henshall Interior Design
Di Henshall Interior Design has been operating in Queensland, Australia, for 22 years. Di, trained in Liverpool, UK, migrated to Australia and initially worked for a group of architects in Melbourne before settling in Noosa Heads. She heads a team of 10 in her design studio and has a further 20 staff members in her two separate factories, under the name of Resident Hero, which manufacture high-end bespoke furniture and kitchens. Di is also a qualified builder, who undertook further training to become a Greensmart builder, a discipline which embraces environmentally sustainable and responsible building practices. Di travels abroad at least three times a year, including to Europe to attend industry functions. In 2009, Di was awarded the Women in Building Award from the Master Builders' Association and also a Fellowship of the Design Institute of Australia for services to the design industry. Di constantly writes articles for various trade and design publications, she lectures on interior design and building and mentors female apprentices in the building industry. Di Henshall Interior Design works all over Australia and the UK.
