Membership Criteria for Industry Partner

Industry Partner membership is a great opportunity to gain commercial advantage. The Industry Partner Committee (made up of Industry Partners) has strengthened the criteria to ensure a high standard of entry. Companies are encouraged to engage fully with the membership by undertaking sponsored events and provide Continued Professional Development (CPD) lectures.

Requirements for Industry Partner are as follows:

  • Minimum of 5 years trading
  • 1 years of accounts demonstrating a sound financial base
  • Website of good quality
  • Two reputable designer/architect references with a minimum two years knowledge
  • High quality products and/or services, which are relevant to the industry

Associate Industry Partner

Where a company is unable to meet the minimum criteria for Industry Partner membership but can demonstrate that their membership will be to the advantage of the Institute and its designer members. This level of membership has reduced benefits whilst working towards Industry Partner level. Companies must have a minimum of 2 years trading and send full accounts for the last financial year demonstrating a sound financial base.

Companies may remain at this level for a maximum period of four years.

The non-refundable Application Fee is to be submitted with your application

  • VAT is not payable by organisations based outside the UK
  • Rates for part of a year are calculated monthly on a pro-rata basis
  • The application fee is a one off payment that covers the cost of administration and financial assessment by an accountant
  • Payment of your subscription is not due until you are elected to membership
  • Membership fees are invoiced on an annual basis. Our financial year runs from 1st April to 31st March
