The British Institute of Interior Design is committed to encouraging and supporting creativity and competence in the field of interior design through facilitating best practice, practical professional support, development opportunities and education.

Members CPD obligations

CPDs help to reassure clients that members of the British Institute of Interior Design are committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism in the interior design industry. Our members have to complete a minimum of 20 CPD points per annum.

CPD attendance recommendations for Associate Members:

  • Associate Member Level 1:

    • Professional Practice Part 1 Business Planning
    • Professional Practice Part 2 Project Management & Contracts
    • Elephant traps in your Contract & how to avoid them
  • Associate Member Level 2

    • Professional Practice Part 3 Financial Management
  • Associate Member Level 3

    • Professional Practice Part 4 Marketing Planning
    • The role of a Quantity Surveyor & other professionals in a design team

Specific CPDs will be recommended from the BIID programme that Associates should attend on an annual basis.
